And so boysbriefs has come to an end.
I kinda like ending it here as it became somewhat of a journey I never expected I'd be taking. When I started posting funny stories from the party scene nearly five years ago, I wouldn't have guessed I'd be ending this blog with a recap of my wedding. Such is life. Priorities shift, interests change, laugh lines grow longer. The most exciting thing to happen to me these days is that we finish redecorating a room in our house or my partner waits until the last minute to get me something for my birthday. He did marry me, so I gave him a pass. This year.
The humdrum, happy life we've carved out for ourselves is just fine by me. Perfect, really. But I won't bore you with the minutiae any longer.
I'd like to say that this is not the last you'll hear from me. But that's such an awful cliche. Still, I have sworn to myself that if I quit blogging, I will finally start working on that book I've been talking about since I was 16 years old. Completing a novel takes great writing ability and a vivid imagination, but I suspect the most challenging skill required is the discipline to sit down and do the work. If nothing else, I can say that at 35 I am the most disciplined I have ever been. So perhaps you'll see me on a bookshelf someday.
For those of you I know in real life or anyone else who still wants to keep up with me, I will continue updating the Flickr stream at the top of this blog and on my Flickr page.
It's been an awesome experience. I appreciate the comments and support from everyone who's ever read this blog. I wish you all the best.
That's all folks. Later, dudes. Auf Wiedersehen. Seacrest out.
